Part-Time Promotions Assistant

The ideal candidate will be expected to seek, schedule, and attend networking events, chamber of commerce meetings, local trade and health shows, station dances and participate in community outreach. The Promotion Assistant we hire must have energy, optimism and be excited to introduce more listeners to our radio station. They must also have a desire to prospect for new potential advertising partners. This position has upward, promotional advancement opportunities to a Full-Time Account Executive position. This is a​ fun and exciting job for someone looking to get their foot through the radio door of one very special radio station!

Requirements:

  • Able to work a flexible schedule​

  • High school diploma or equivalent​t

  • Must be outgoing, enjoy working in a team environment, communicate effectively and be prepared to assist with station event planning and execution, as directed.

  • Be positive, optimistic and have a professional approach during all interactions with clients and fellow-employees and listeners.

  • Receive constructive feedback and be eager to improve/excel.

  • Professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • A real love for our Legends-Nostalgic format is a huge plus.​

Account Executive

We are a very unique station, searching for a very unique Salesperson​. The ideal candidate will be expected to exceed challenging sales goals by cold calling, networking, participating in community outreach, attending station events, building a referral data base and prospecting daily. They will also be required to retain and build long-term client relationships. The Account Executive we hire for our team must not only be ready to carry that torch of integrity and standards by following our proven strategies, but be eager to succeed and have the energy and optimism to grow their business each and every day. This is a ​rewarding job for the right person!​

 

Requirements:

  • At least one year in radio/broadcasting or media advertising sales.

  • Learn and implement a specific-esoteric sales approach and strategy.

  • Be self-motivated and able to communicate product and long-term relationship value.

  • Design, present, and successfully execute proven/targeted marketing campaigns.

  • Generate revenue and meet /exceed established sales targets.

  • Translate market and station business strategies into specific actions that generate sales and revenue.

  • Read, draft and comprehend complex and persuasive business correspondence.

  • Provide regular reports to Station Manager regarding new prospect lists, forecasts, and comprehensive client updates.

  • Service client accounts, including monthly meetings to maintain and grow campaigns, resolve billing discrepancies and assist in account collections.

  • Follow station/company practices/policies.

  • Establish, maintain, and deepen relationships with existing client base.

  • Be positive, optimistic and professional approach during all interactions with clients and fellow-employees

  • A real love for our Legends-Nostalgic format.

  • Knowledge of sales principles and practices, with a desire to implement new standards.
